The coming of computer technology also has an impact to the development of hammock. For many centuries, hammocks were made by hands. The Taino use hamaca, meaning thrown fish net, as their makeshift hammock. The Spaniard modified it into canvass hammock. The modern manufacturer uses advanced technology to support hammock developments. At first they innovated with hammock materials with so many fabrics and types of ropes. At the beginning of the nineties, the computer came as assistant for the hammock designer to interpret their ideas. It evolved from 2D to, finally, 3D model for the more designers convenience. This last technology begins to prevail in the recent hammock development technology.
